My husband and I were in need of assistance with our two rescue dogs, who had some major behavioural issues. Candi at Canine Connection NZ came highly recommended to us via the dog training community, so we have engaged her dog walking and training services since the end of last year, on virtually a daily basis. Her assistance has been a life changer for all of us, and we are able to live far more harmoniously and pleasurably as a result. Her attention to change the behaviour immediately was integral to this ongoing success. I can’t recommend Candi highly enough – she is trustworthy, honest, reliable and cares so much to produce the results required and is excellent at her job.

Absolutely recommend Candi’s services!!
We saught her out because we have a very reactive dog; she’s afraid of bigger dogs and gets quite aggressive toward them, it’s super stressful for us and we didn’t really know how to deal with it. Candi is known to have a calm approach to training and specializes in reactivity.
Candi knows our neighbourhood and has given us very practical and easy to manage techniques to help our girl.

Wow! Where to start? Candi came into our lives to help us with our gorgeous puppy who was slowly breaking us. She was so patient and supportive, even taking him for a few nights to help us all reset. Our puppy made such good progress, as did we. Unfortunately, we were not meant to be his forever home just a stop and reset home. He needed more than we could give him and Candi was there to guide and help us find his forever home- which she did. We miss him but know that without Candi things might have been a lot more different and less positive. Our hearts are still healing and agin Candi reached out and showed her passion and compassion for us and our pooch. She is a gem with dogs and we feel blessed to have had her guiding wisdom. I reached out to my local page over the Christmas break looking for someone to have my puppy Kobi for a couple of nights. Canine Connection and Candi were recommended to me from that page. Since then Kobi has had some one on one training with Candi and all I can say is wow. He is doing amazing and we are so lucky to have found her. Kobi absolutely loves her. I have even recommended her to a friend who is now also doing work with their dog and Candi with awesome results also. Highly recommend Candi as I now have a well behaved, socialised and loving dog

Canine Connection provides a fantastic training program for my puppy, and I am very happy with the progress I can see. Over the last 6 months my puppy has become a confident happy pooch, that listens and interacts extremely well. I cannot recommend Candi highly enough! From the very first session, it was clear that she has a deep understanding of canine behavior and an incredible ability to connect with dogs. My 5 YO labradoodle, Bowser, who had always struggled with leash walking and over excitability, has completely transformed under her guidance. Candi created a calm, positive environment where both Bowser and I felt comfortable and supported. We often had a laugh during sessions about how she was more of a human trainer sometimes than a dog trainer.
What truly stood out is Candi’s patience, consistency, and the genuine care she showed for every dog she worked with. The improvements I’ve seen in my Bowser have been remarkable, and the tools and knowledge I’ve gained as an owner have made a lasting difference in our relationship. Our anxiety driven and distressing walks have now become zen time walkies.
Candi (and her doggo, Jupiter) has not only helped us overcome challenges but has also strengthened the bond between us.
